NUT research shows that less than 14 per cent of teachers feel confident that they can recognise a dyslexic child. Less than nine per cent that they can teach one, and four out of five teachers would like dyslexia training.

Currently 55% of children 'failing' SATS are at risk of dyslexia/SpLD yet with the right support dyslexics can be high achievers.

People with dyslexia are often very creative and innovative lateral thinkers, and include Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Richard Branson, Jamie Oliver, Bill Gates, Andy Warhol, Steven Spielberg, John Lennon, Walt Disney.
